On 11 September 2014, nineteen top Arctic institutes in Europe proposed the establishment of an EU Arctic Information Centre as a network undertaking in the final seminar of the project "EU in the Arctic, The Arctic in the EU" in Brussels, Belgium. "Sustainability in Berlin" Semester Abroad Program

In September 2014, the Ecologic Institute and the College of Liberal Arts and Science at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) launch a new cooperation, the study program "Sustainability in Berlin". The program is unique as it combines actual coursework with an internship at relevant environmental institutions where students can experience first-hand what they have been learning. The two courses also combine academic reflections about global environmental challenges with field trips to local projects in and around Berlin.Read more

Ecologic Institute: Science and Policy for a Sustainable World

Ecologic Institute is a transdisciplinary research organization focusing on environmental issues. In addition, the researchers at Ecologic Institute provide policy analyses and consulting services. Ecologic Institute has offices in Berlin, Brussels, Washington DC and San Mateo CA. As a private, independent institute, Ecologic Institute is devoted to the task of addressing the relevant sociopolitical questions of sustainability research and to bring new insights into environmental policy. Innovative research approaches, an orientation toward practice, and a transdisciplinary approach ensure the scientific quality and societal relevance of Ecologic Institute’s work. It encompasses the whole spectrum of environmental topics, including the integration of environmental issues into other policy fields. Ecologic Institute was founded in 1995 and is a partner in the network of the Institute for European Environmental Policy and a member of the Ecological Research Network (Ecornet). Today, around 150 employees and associates are working in international and interdisciplinary project teams. Ecologic Institute is a public interest organization; donations are tax deductible.
